MM11 Daily Use of your Own Mandala

Daily use of your Own Mandala

As a happy parent of your own mandala, you now have many opportunities to relate to it and make it one of your best friends.

Below are some suggestions as to what you can do to make your mandala an integral part of your life journey and your expanding awareness. The idea is to create, between you and your mandala, a live, interactive flow of energy that will energize and balance various levels of your awareness: body functions & cycles, feelings, thoughts, psychological self-integration, self-esteem, stamina, overall happiness, inner peace, psychic insights, spiritual expansion…

• Make color copies of your mandala, with various sizes. You can have small copies in your car, office, kitchen, bathroom… and a larger copy or the original in a special place in your house.

• It is advisable to laminate some of the copies, specially if they are to be kept in the kitchen or bathroom.

Decide where to place your original mandala in your home. Find a sacred spot: your altar, your meditation room, or any place that feels appropriate. From that special spot, your mandala will look back at you, talk to you, protect you and be an auspicious friendly presence. After your Blessing, your mandala is no longer just a diagram: it is a presence of sacredness.

• We suggest that, after finding the right spot to place or hang your mandala, you stand up in front of it and, aloud, state your original intention again and call for Spirit and your Higher Self to witness this new relationship with yourself and help to make it auspicious and fruitful, so that you receive from your mandala all possible the gifts & insights you need in your spiritual journey.

• Look at your mandala daily. Mandalas are alive with their own universal intelligence and they like to be greeted and energized regularly. Your mandala is now a member of your family and lives in your home. Extend your special welcome!

• How you relating to your mandala as a “she” or a “he” or just a “it”? There is a big difference between a personalized object that you make “sacred” and a regular inert object…  Maybe you want to bestow a name on your mandala? Or some friends will suggest a name…

• Each new day, your mandala is preparing gifts for you and will call on you so you can collect them. It is like downloading your mail from an interface box with your own spirit self. You can anticipate these daily gifts and eagerly look for them, like a love note or a friendship letter.

• Of course, you need to have an approach of complete openness and to be able to refresh your awareness, so you can hear and see new insights of wisdom through your mandala rather than  project old ideas.

• PLAY with your mandala in loving, imaginative ways as you would with a beloved child. Don’t be shy. In fact, you might feel more freedom to play with your mandala than with a real person. Invent games and stories and allow your creative imagination to unfold…

• Experiment with various positions (upside down, sideways…) and angles of looking at your mandala.

• Take your mandala for a visit to the garden or an outing in nature. Check how you feel about your mandala in a completely different place or landscape…

• If you are a musician or singer, you can sing and dance with your mandala. Or you can just chant basic vowel tones (AAA, OOO, III, UUU…) and listen (just in case your mandala sings back to you)…

• At the beginning of your day, as you are asking spirit to bring auspiciousness to your various activities, ask your mandala any suggestion you need to hear and state to your mandala the intention of our day.

• Take a copy of your mandala in your bag or purse so it can be a witness and a reminder throughout your day of your intention.

• At the end of your day, ask your mandala some feedback about what happened and what you could do better next time. Let your mandala congratulate you for having kept your inner peace in a challenging situation or for providing support to someone in need…
